Google Image
Hi everyone!
Your friendly B here with some news...
I've had several people (well two) point out that the google image is a Michelangelo look-a-like type thing. Now I hadn't hit Google yet this morning, but it made perfect sense when I saw it!!
Why would they change the image to a michelangelo look-a-like type thing on today of all days? Well -- I happen to read the History Channel's "What Happened Today" website at http://www.thisdayinhistory.com/. I do this every morning -- it's part of my bookmark list that I open in tabs in phoenix.
So you are too lazy to go read the "This Day in History" website? You want the short story? It's Michelangelo's birthday. Yup -- he was born on March 6th, 1475. Almost as old as certain people that I know!! For those of the younger generation who haven't had a chance to study the fine arts, he was a WAY important Renaissance artist. Probably his most famous work would be the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in Rome...
Now I just need to figure out how to convince Google to change their image to .. I don't know .. a picture of me climbing(?) next year on March 4th!!
Thanks, Google, for pointing out what an important day this is to the arts!

Oh yah -- Google has a page with all their past holiday images -- some are quite fun!!
