So I actually paid moneys and bought a new table for home -- one that would hold my computer and my full size keyboard. I figured it was about time to get a real "workstation" and Musician's Friend had a "build-your-own" table on sale.

So I bought it.

After fedex "lost" it for a couple days, it showed up at my office (where I had it shipped) in a completely trashed box. I took it home yesterday with some help from Jason and was going to put it together today. I actually *cleaned* my office -- that is very rare -- I pulled everything out and vacuumed the floor before starting on the assembly.

I cleaned for 2 hours and then opened up the trashed box to start assembly. One of the corners of the bottom piece of the desk had been scratched up but I figured I could ignore that as it was a back corner. I pulled out all the pieces and noticed that I was missing two of the four casters that were supposed to be in the box. So I decided to go over the manual and look at what parts were supposed to be in the box. There were about 10 other items (including ALL screws) that were missing.

So now I'm waiting another week (?) for them to send me a new one. I won't know anything for sure until Monday whe Musicians Friend and FedEx are supposed to call me and let me know whats going on.

So I think I finished the template for redoing the main blog page tonight. Had a little more css optimizations left to do -- actually now that I think about it I can shrink the css quite a bit more with a wee bit more work. But at least the layout is now finished.
