Worked to develop build process and documentation.  Developed upgrade procedures for database and code upgrades to new versions of core product.  Managed source control repositories.

• Created automated build scripts to take advantage of continuous integration.
• Designed Ant scripts to deploy compiled code to different environments (staging, production, review, and QA).

Defined the process to complete bi-weekly builds to live customer sites.  Located co-location space and built the datacenter.  Managed high-end database functions.

• Came up with processes to handle daily QA builds leading to the process for the bi-weekly customer builds.
• Developed high-end stored procedures to help manage customer databases.
• Designed network configuration for datacenter including: purchasing appropriate hardware; investigating, tracking and resolving bottlenecks; working with companies to help test new hardware to monitor and increase performance of the hardware in the datacenter.
• Migrated from NT domains and Exchange 5.5 to a Windows 2000 forest with domains and Active Directory and Exchange 2000.
• Introduced system and network monitoring tools to maximize uptime and minimize response time with network and system problems.
• Managed firewall to provide secure network traffic.
• Helped design demo hardware for tradeshows including servers combining proxy, reporting, SQL, and Web; client machines running multiple operating systems including Macintosh OS9/X, Win9x, WinXP, and Windows 2000.
• Implemented backup procedure to back up 14 servers in multiple locations at one centralized location.
• Designed and implemented a secure wireless (802.11b) connection so that clients could work from multiple locations within the office building.

• Helped migrate from IIS3.0 to IIS4.0.
• Managed the DNS with over 500 specific client addresses.
• Worked with Cisco routers to design reliable routing tables for customers.
• Facilitated the relocation of office and equipment including: designing new server room, wiring new office building for Ethernet, planning minimal downtime for customers.
• Managed proxy and domains for company and parent company.  Developed trusts between domains to provide secure communication between departments over a geographically disperse area.
• Installed monitoring software and developed process for “on-call”, 24 hour support.
• Managed SQL Server databases, implementing db backups to disk and tape and db design.

Applied knowledge of web design and systems maintenance to help increase profitability of company and perform maintenance on router and dial-up modems.

• Redesigned company homepage to incorporate automatic sign-up procedures for ISP and to be able to purchase other company products online.
• Designed monitoring system to increase uptime of dial-up modems.
• Installed additional bandwidth to increase throughput as customers increased.
• Worked as top-level tech support for dial-up customers diagnosing problems with client connections – helping customers solve software and hardware problems.
